Into a search for lost people, the problem is often who has to be called, very often the real capabilities of each unit of rescue dogs or association of rescue dogs are unknown and it is unknown what they exactly can do. Frequently in the same nationality, the various associations involved in evaluating the work of rescue dogs, use different assessment methods. So the assessments given during examinations are often subjective and sometimes influenced by the physical and mental condition . This is for both, for the examiner and for the rescue dog with his conductor which must be evaluated. More accurate assessments can be integrated using satellite technologies. Not more a subjective opinion only, but also an objective evaluation. This new approach allows to optimize and certify the work of the rescue dog units.
With this instrument it is possible: monitoring the periodically activities of rescue dog units; improving the performance of rescue dogs; targeting the training from instructors; add to the certify a documentable scientific method about the value given. With this project we want to add an additional instrument that would allow rescue dog units to optimize its performance and reliability in a continuous dialogue with oneself and with others, to aim for the maximum search performance.
